Schools are jumping on the green bandwagon

Ready for another sequel to “Back to the Future?”

When it comes to vocational education – or career technical training as it is known in this reincarnation –  Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has his popcorn and soda ready. A technical school participant himself during his high school days in Austria, the governor hosted a summit in early 2007 to bring together education, business and labor communities to share their perspectives. State legislators continue to pitch new bills supportive of career and technical education. And the Association of California School Administrators set up a special task force to draft recommendations for policy on CTE it could sponsor.
