House bill clarifies law; expert questions need

Should public educators have greater latitude in separating boys and girls in school?

House Bill 2086, which received tentative approval in the House last week, would clarify that public-school districts have the authority to offer single-sex classes. It's a practice already permitted under federal law, although state legislation is expected to bring more attention to it here as it continues to gain in popularity nationally.
