Beginning in 2018, DASS schools will be held accountable for meeting all of the same state indicators that are currently reported in the Dashboard. However, in order to more fairly evaluate the success of alternative schools that serve high-risk students, modified methods will be used for select state indicators.
Jenny Singh, Manager of the Analysis, Measurement, and Accountability Division at the CDE, will present on the progress of the CDE and the California Task Force for Alternative Schools to develop:
- A one-year graduation rate for DASS schools
- Alternative career measures for DASS schools and students with disabilities
