Michigan Youth Challenge Academy Highlighted for Providing At-Promise Students a Path Forward

At-promise youth in Michigan have an option to attend the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy, which is a free military-style residential program for youth who are 15 1/2 - 18 years old. The program provides housing, academic coursework, career technical education, and more for its opportunity youth participants. Another feature of the program is ongoing mentorship for students including follow-up support for 12 months after graduation.

Watch the news coverage from Fox News WXMI, which introduces the program and features the story of one student who unfortunately lost both his parents to cancer and needed an option to help him stay on-track to finish high school. He hopes to go on to study mechanical engineering in college.

Thank you Michigan Youth Challenge Academy for your service to at-promise students, their families, and surrounding communities of Michigan.
